Shrinking electronics, in general, has meant packing higher density circuits in much smaller enclosures. The need for more functionality has often proved quite challenging for the Design Engineer since low cost connectors (d-sub type) continued to be housed in bulky EMI/RFI shielded connector covers. This often resulted in connection systems as large as equipment enclosures themselves. To help solve this, we developed and now offer cost-effective ultra low profile 90 degree exit connector covers. These covers are made of nickel plated zinc providing exceptional EMI/RFI shielding characteristics. Some sizes incorporate the NORTECH™ Compression Insert System ensuring proper retention over a wide range of cable diameters.
